6 Days til Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! It's hard to believe that this is the last Sheeesh! before Christmas and the year is almost over! Time is flying by like a lobster in a santa suit being whisked away by flying fish. Sheeesh!

Have a wonderful, safe and healthy holiday season everyone!

Merry Christmas,
Elena

I think Gunny is a Crab Apple

This Sheeesh! is dedicated to the men and women in the service who are away from their families at this time helping to keep the rest of us safe at home! Happy Holidays to all of you and your families!

Who recognizes the quote?

FYI, the all new Sheeesh! Laughingstock Calendar is available at the CafePress...

Happy Wednesday!

Pawversion!

I can't take total credit for this one. Paulette called me one day and said I have a great Sheeesh! idea for you, "Doggie Style" ... I hung up without saying a word and at this time simply hope that I've created the vision she had in mind!

If anyone's interested in the Sheeesh! Laughingstock Calendar (all livestock cartoons) let me know in the comments or email me and I'll let you know when it's up for sale. Hopefully it'll be up later today!

Happy holiday shopping everyone!
Thanks for stopping by,

Aaaargh!

So last Sunday night on my favorite show, Dexter shows up at Hannah's place, after telling her that they shouldn't see each other again, to tell her that he won't be around for awhile and Hannah asks, "is this your idea of a booty call?" and Dexter says, "what's a booty call?" Well she explained it differently but this Sheeesh! here, this is what I thought of...

Last pickins!

I always felt bad for that last kid that no one wanted! Luckily growing up that was never me, at least not that I know of ...  I admit this cartoon is a bit of a stretch, but Thanksgiving is turkeys and football is it not? Anyway, I for one am thankful for turkeys and football.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This guy must be from Denver!

Denver or Seattle. So the first state's have legalized recreational use of marijuana! I guess the finale of Weeds wasn't so far off from the truth. If you didn't watch it, it takes place several years in the future and Nancy and Silas are millionaires because they were in on the branding of legalized marijuana from, well, before it was legalized. Ahhh but anyway if you must light up try not to start any forest fires out there people!

Happy Wednesday!

Tiny arms!

Poor T-Rex! Anyway, I have nothing political to say about this election — Sheeesh! is neutral and 2012 went as I think most people expected. One thing I do hope for before 2016 is that there be real efforts to do away with the electoral college and the next president will simply be the guy or gal who gets the most votes. Period. Anyway, that's my 2¢! If you've got 2¢ leave me a comment!

Happy Wednesday!

That about sums it up

It was a challenge to think of something funny to post this Halloween due to the devastating effects of Hurricane Sandy here in New Jersey, but then this idea came to mind and pretty much summed it up for the powerless, cable-less, internet-less days since the storm.

Here's to hoping the power comes back on before the gas stations run out of gas to fill our generators! Hope everyone is safe!

Happy Halloween!
Elena

PS. Halloween is officially rescheduled (by executive order) for November 5th here in NJ.

I hope you're enjoying Horror Sheeesh! month like I am! One more week to go. We get five this year which is a lucky thing isn't it?

I need some exorcise myself...

Well it's that time of the year, Horror Sheeesh! Month! Yay! I have to say I've been waiting a long time to do this cartoon and the demons were a lot harder to draw than I thought they'd be. My original vision had demons jumping rope in the background but it just couldn't be done! Anyway, I like it, they're kinda cute, for demons.

Enjoy!

Ouch

Sometimes when I'm flying blind I feel like this might be the end result. Luckily it's never happened. I'm sure every Sheeesh! reader has felt this way before at some time or another. Anyway, did you know that the saying Flying Blind dates back to World War II to the pilots who could not see the horizon as they were en route? That's the interesting fact for the day...

Make sure to visit the blog next week for the Horror Sheeesh! Month kickoff!!!

Happy Wednesday,

That is lame

Poor Duck! I can't believe his friends won't wait for him. I have to say that this cartoon had the potential to be rather politically incorrect if I drew it the way Cousin Gregg envisioned. You can use your imagination. Anyway, I think I will draw it the way he wanted to see it too, so if you're interested in that version email me and I will send it to you when it's done, I just can't put it on the blog!

Anyway, as you can see from the background in the image Fall is here! Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by the blog!

Cowfee anyone?

This one was originally titled Cowupuccino Bars but that was back during the original Cowendar days of the late 90s! Cowfee Shop just seemed more current. Even Starbucks is referred to as a coffee shop these days. Anyway I digress ... my reason for posting this one now is because yesterday I went to meet Rich for coffee and we had to sit in a parking lot because there is no coffee shop in our town! How sad is that? I think someone needs to open one ...

Happy Wednesday!

Act V, Scene One

After last week's Shakespearean Fowl Play I've had this one stuck in my head all week. It's almost shocking that Hammy has not starred as Hamlet in a Sheeesh! before now. Anyway, happy back to school kids! If Shakespeare is in the curriculum, don't miss this one!

Enjoy!

Star Crossed Chickens

Oh poor doomed chickens! I know they look a little too happy to be playing the tragic Romeo and Juliet but I guess they don't yet know their fate at this point in the play. That's how I am selling it anyway. Shakespeare and Bake! Enjoy!

Ho hum!

I'm posting from vacation this week and recycled my old Words with Fiends board to create a quick cartoon so be sure not to look at it too quickly and think you already saw this one!

Right to the flower bed...

There's one in every garden! I think these tools are going to become regulars on the Sheeesh! Blog. They're kinda cute. Especially the Fork.

By the way, I just launched a new Sheeesh! website with interactive slide shows broken down into different genres. It took me quite a while, a real labor of love if you will, so when you get a chance, please check it out: www.sheeeshcartoons.com

That car is a chick magnet

Originally I planned for this cartoon to have baby yellow chicks and not full grown chickens but if you can believe it little yellow chicks just didn't look natural in the car. Haha.

Anyway, have a great rest of the week!

Where's the Pepper spray when you need it?

Sorry it's so late in the day but I've been deep in the woods in the Adirondack's with no access to the internet except for my phone and let's just say that Google+ the app does not work as promised with regard to posting on photos on blogs. Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying the summer!

Happy Wednesday!

So, it turns out that the Yak is Luke's favorite animal next to labrador retrievers. I had no idea so this one is for him. He's also quite yakety when he gets to talking so it's fitting!

Politics on the beach is for the birds!

I love shore birds and am in total beach mode this week. Sorry if you're not a shore person and therefore aren't familiar with terns but these little guys are an integral part of a relaxing day at the beach. When they're not talking politics in ear shot that is...

Enjoy the summer!
Thanks for stopping by,

PS. Have you become a follower here on the blog? Unless you're one of three people then you probably need to get on that...

¡Aye Cowramba!

That Corona sure looks good! It surprises me that there's never been a Moochachos Sheeesh! before. There's Moo Cha Chas with the dancing cows but never this one. Strange!

Anyway, hope you're enjoying your summer! Thanks for stopping by!

Savage warriors make me hungry for BBQ

One of the top five most ruthless armies ever according to many historians. They look pretty harmless to me. Anyway, hope you like the new blog! You don't have to sign up to comment, so give it a try! Let me know if this one makes you hungry!

Found him!

So, now we know what happened to Mary's Little Lamb but what happened to the Sheeesh! Blog landing page? Well, Apple is closing their web hosting service down and for the life of me I can't get the blog to redirect to my new hosting site, so for now, bear with me and join me here!

Blogger is a much better way to get the cartoons out there actually, the only bad news is if you guys want to leave comments, you have to sign up. I hope you will! Why not start right now and tell me what you think about Mary having a little of her lamb!? (Sick, I know!)

Moo and Oink are right!

I wonder what Mayor Bloomberg would say about this gluttony! Ban the soda dispenser for sure. And then, while you’re at it, those big grab chip bags shouldn’t be allowed either because they are clearly contributing to the obesity of these animals who quite obviously can’t make the decision what to eat for themselves. Of course, the fence there shows these are not free animals so maybe someone should step in. Anyway, I’m not trying to express any political views, I’m only hoping to get a laugh and really, looking at this cartoon, I’m just thankful no one is eating a hamburger, hot dog or McNuggets because that would make the whole thing kinda ugly...

Sushi anyone?

I have had a hankerin' for some spicy tuna!

Milk jugs that is

It’s pretty scary when there’s a cereal killer on the loose. The thing that is really striking about this though is I would have thought the Krispie Brothers would have ended up on the other side of the law. Go figure! On that note, don’t forget, breakfast is the most important meal of the day...

Oh no not Sam!

Because moms need nourishment too!

Interestingly this scene is not unfamiliar. I can’t elaborate. But, I can say I kinda like the kids beating on each other in the background while the moms enjoy their beverages ;-)

Loving lady legumes

So I was in the canned vegetable aisle looking for inspiration for a new slow cooker recipe and I realized there are tons of different beans. There’s gorbonzo beans, pinto beans, white beans, black beans, assorted colors of kidney beans, Navy beans (those would be the boys by the way), and Lima beans but then it struck me, where are the Lezbeans? And there you have it. This week’s Sheeesh!

He's no angel fish!

Seriously, where do kids get the attitudes these days! I would wipe those fish lips right off his face if he said that to me...

I'm addicted ...

I can’t blame this one on my mother. This one comes from my very own addiction to Words with Friends. That and a recent conversation about there being cheat boards you can download to tell you where to place your tiles for the biggest score possible. That conversation made me think anyone who does that is a fiend, and not a friend. But more importantly it added two new people to my friend list!

My mother made me do it...

Seriously, my mother called me up specifically to tell me that I must do a “Bacon Strips” pig stripping cartoon. It’s not her first foray into the world of inspiring wacky Sheeesh either. I guess we know where I get it from now...

That's some bitter candy!

It’s hard to believe Valentine’s Day is next week already! The year is flying by, it’s crazy! I have to send out a heartfelt thanks to this week’s Sheeesh! Blog Conversation Hearts Guest Writers who helped me tweak this reject pile of candy hearts to what you see here today.

Let’s all go to the lobby!

Let’s all go to the lobby
Let’s all go to the lobby
Let’s all go to the lohhhhhbby
To get our-selves-a-treat!

Delicious things to eat
The popcorn can’t be beat
Sparkling drinks are just dandy
Chocolate bars and nut candies

So let’s all go to the lohhhhbby
To get our-selves-a-treat!

Sorry if that little ditty sticks in your head all day long! Enjoy!

So, hey, I love this one!! I don’t usually say such things but why not? I’ve been taking some web classes on HTML and yes, of course web design, so for me this cartoon is just very apropos today. I should also note that I have had “Web Designer” in the Sheeesh! queue for quite some time now but for some reason I was not able to visualize it until I started studying the real deal. Plus, oh my God I love the little fly guy! He’s so darn cute. I think he might have to become a Sheeesh! blog regular. You can leave your suggestions for naming him in the comments if you’d like to have a little part in all this.

And Applesaucer...?

Yeh, I know, this one is reeeeally silly. Or as I like to put it, it’s really Sheeeshy. But, it’s been stuck in my head for a while now and you know how it goes, I gotta get it out of my head to be able to move on. Speaking of heads, I just realized Hammy’s not wearing a helmet. What a dummy.
